CLASS 1 basic TRAINING – VAC1

​The Class 1 course has been approved by the Virginia Board for Waste Management Facility Operators and is required by the Board regulations for certification as a Class 1 Waste Management Facility Operator. This is a two-day course for operators of Class 1 facilities, including those which are defined as transfer stations, material recovery facilities receiving mixed waste, experimental facilities, or composting facilities receiving yard waste. The course is designed to acquaint landfill operators with the Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations and prepare them to take the Board examination for Class 1 (Basic) certification.

You are eligible to earn 1.5 IACET Continuing Education Units for this course. Criteria for successful completion of this course and to earn IACET CEUs include attendance in all modules, completion of practice exercises in class and a passing score on the exam (if applicable). CLASS 2 LANDFILL TRAINING – VAC2

The Class 2 course has been approved by the Virginia Board for Waste Management Facility Operators and is required by the Board regulations for certification as a Class 2 Waste Management Facility Operator. This is a one-day course for operators of Class 2 facilities including those which compost municipal solid waste, or sanitary, industrial, construction/demolition/debris (CDD) landfills. This course is designed to acquaint landfill operators with the Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations and to prepare them to take the Board examination for Class 2 certification. Class 2 certificate holders are also Class 1 certified. Course prerequisite: Class 1 Basic Training Course.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / TRAINING (CPE/T) – VACPET

The 8-hour CPE/T course has been approved by the Virginia Board for Waste Management Facility Operators and is required every two years by the Board regulations for recertification as a Class 1 or 2 Waste Management Facility Operator. This is a one-day, eight-hour classroom course for operators of Class 1 or 2 facilities. This is a review of any updated Class 1 and 2 training requirements as outlined in the Waste Management Facility Operator Rules and Regulations.  This course includes a discussion of any pertinent regulatory changes in the Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations and current industry topics.

You are eligible to earn .8 IACET Continuing Education Units for this course. Criteria for successful completion of this course and to earn IACET CEUs include attendance in all modules, completion of practice exercises in class and a passing score on the exam (if applicable). General Registration information

• Please register & submit payment at least 5 calendar days prior to class date. Later than that we cannot assure you will have a Course Manual in time for the class event.
• If you cannot attend a class, you MUST contact Joyce Training Program in writing at JoyceTraining@LaBellaPC.com in advance to either transfer, substitute, or cancel your registration. Refer to policies listed below.

Transfers/Substitutions:
• Transfers to a future scheduled class (or substitutions from one registrant to another from the same organization) are accepted at any time before the start of the class at no charge. JoyceTraining@LaBellaPC.com
• Customers are encouraged to transfer to a future scheduled class of the same course to be taken within twelve months of the original course date.
• If the customer cannot attend any scheduled class, then a refund will be issued in accordance with the Cancellation/Refund Policy below.

Cancellations, Refund Policy:
• Cancellations and request for refunds must be submitted in writing seven (7) days prior to the class start date to JoyceTraining@LaBellaPC.com.
• Registrants will receive a full refund, less a $35 administration fee.
• If Joyce Training Program cancels a class for any reason, customers will receive one of the following: 1) a transfer to a scheduled class of the same course to be taken within twelve months of the original course date; or 2) a full refund.

No-Shows:
• Registered customers who do not contact Joyce Training Program at JoyceTraining@LaBellaPC.com in advance to cancel their registration and do not attend their scheduled class will be charged the entire class fee.
Inclement Weather:
• Those unable to travel due to inclement weather: 1) may transfer to a scheduled class of the same course to be taken within twelve months of the original course date; or 2) a full refund may be requested.

Payments:
• There are two options for payment when registering online: credit card and check.
• If choosing to pay by check – include the name(s) of student(s) on the check or print a copy of the email confirmation and mail it with the check to this address below. (Make the check payable to LaBella Associates)
