about the joyce
training program

The Joyce Training Program was established by Joyce Engineering. Founded in 1983, Joyce Engineering focused exclusively on serving the solid waste industry. In 2017, Joyce Engineering joined LaBella Associates, gaining capacity, services and geographic reach. In 2019, Joyce Engineering officially began operating under the LaBella brand. With all of the Joyce personnel, instructors, and materials carrying over to LaBella, it was logical to identify our Waste & Recycling training as the Joyce Training Program.

Our history providing training:

  • Partners with National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA), offering national certification program and training for Landfill Managers beginning in 2016
  • Private sector waste companies in-house training classes since 1995
  • Virginia waste management facility operator training since 1995
  • WasteExpo 1998–2010 (National Waste and Recycling Association’s annual convention)
